New York State Health Laws for Summer Camps
We invite you to visit the following website to learn about the standards we are required to meet as a summer camp in the State of New York. The website address is: http://www.health.ny.gov/publications/3601.pdf We are required by the New York State Department of Health to notify you (i) that the camp must have a permit to operate from the New York State Department of Health or the designated permit issuing official (ii) that the camp is required to be inspected twice a year and (iii) that inspection reports and required plans are filed with the local Health Department at 50 North St. Suite 2; Monticello, NY 12701 (845) 794-2045 (iv) If there is a serious injury, illness or abuse incident during the summer. Depending on the nature of the illness or incident, we may also be required to notify the local Health Department.
