Travel by Car
Camp would like as many families as possible to drive their children to camp for the 2023 summer. This will allow the mitigation strategies that each family is following before camp to stay intact.
Bloc 1/Full Session: June 22nd
Bloc 2: July 6th
Bloc 3: July 20th
Campers who are being driven to camp should arrive at Camp Tel Yehudah between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm EDT on the first day of the appropriate Bloc.
*We will be scheduling staggered arrival times for all campers arriving by car and will be sending out additional information about our COVID-safe drop-off procedures.
Bloc 1: July 5th
Bloc 2: July 19th
Bloc 3/Full Session: August 2nd
Parents/Guardians picking up campers should arrive at Camp Tel Yehudah between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm EDT on the last day of the appropriate Bloc.

FROM PORT JERVIS
Follow Main Street through the town of Port Jervis to Route 97 North. Drive on Route 97 North 16 miles. Camp Tel Yehudah is on the left (Bet Camp is first, one mile north is Aleph, also on the left). Please drive all campers directly into Aleph Camp. IF YOU PASS A BLINKING YELLOW LIGHT, YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR. Turn around and drive approximately 1 mile south. Camp will now be on your right.
FROM NEWARK AIRPORT
Follow signs out of airport to the Garden State Pkwy North. When the Pkwy ends, it becomes Interstate Route 87 (New York State Thruway). Take Route 87 to Exit 16 (Route 17 West). Drive on Route 17 West to Exit 121W (Route 84 West to Port Jervis). Drive on Route 84 to Exit 1 (Port Jervis). Make a left at the stop sign at the end of the ramp. At the traffic light bear right and follow Main Street through the town of Port Jervis to Route 97 North. Drive on Route 97 North 16 miles. Camp Tel Yehudah is on the left (Bet Camp is first, one mile north is Aleph, also on the left). Please drive all campers directly to Aleph Camp. If you pass a blinking yellow light, you have gone too far. Turn around and drive approximately 1 mile south.
FROM NEW YORK CITY
Take the George Washington Bridge to the Palisades Interstate Parkway North. Go to Exit 9W – New York State Thruway. Follow directions above. (It is EXIT 9W, NOT Route 9W) OR Cross Bronx Expressway to Interstate 87 (Major Deegan Expressway, which becomes the NYS Thruway) and follow directions From Newark Airport.
FROM LONG ISLAND
Take 495 West (Long Island Expressway) to 295 North (Clearview Expressway) over the Throgs Neck Bridge. Take 95 South (Cross Bronx Expressway) to I-87 (Major Deegan Expressway, which becomes the NYS Thruway) and follow directions From Newark Airport.
FROM NEW JERSEY
Take the Garden State Parkway North to the New York State Thruway. Follow Directions from Newark Airport OR take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 153B. Take Route 3 West to Route 46 West to Route 23 North. Take 23 to the end (New York State) and follow signs (bearing left) to Route 6 into Port Jervis. Follow directions From Port Jervis.
FROM NEW ENGLAND
Eastern MA): Take Massachusetts Turnpike (Route. 90) to Route 84 West or (Western MA) take 91 south to Route 84 West. Follow Directions From Newark Airport.
TO NEW YORK CITY, LONG ISLAND, NEW ENGLAND AND NEWARK AIRPORT
Make a right turn out of camp onto Rt. 97 South. Drive for 16 miles and go through Port Jervis. About half a mile after the bridge, there will be a traffic light and signs for I84. Follow the signs for 84 East – make a right turn at the light, and a left turn on 84 East. For New York City, Long Island and Newark Airport, take Exit 4 East, Rt. 17, towards NY. Exit 17 leads you onto the New York State Thruway.
TO NEW JERSEY
Follow directions for Newark Airport, OR Make a right turn out of camp onto Rt. 97 South. Drive for 16 miles and go through Port Jervis. About half a mile after the bridge follow signs for Rt. 23 South. Take Rt. 46 East to Rt. 3 East to the Garden State Parkway.
